Replacement regulator/rectifier for Yamaha YZFR1 YZFR6
For Yamaha YZFR1 YZFR6 we are selling a replacement 30A regulator 14V-3FHVSP-30A-AX-KS-LI. The warranty is 4 years.
Serial-parallel voltage regulator 14V-3FHVSP-30A-AX-KS-LI is the best replacement for the original Yamaha YZFR1 YZFR6 regulator. The original regulator on the Yamaha YZFR1 YZFR6 is a parallel type of regulation and 100% loads the stator winding. For this reason, it is better to choose a series type regulator that will load the generator only with consumption (which is below 100% of the generator's capacity). The result is reduced unnecessary heating of the stator and a longer lifespan, as well as more available power at the wheels.
There are quite a few bikers who, after the generator fails, decide to replace the original regulator with a much better serial regulator in order to reduce the possibility of stator burnout by reducing the heating of the stator winding.
Battery voltage regulation is very good. You can find more detailed information about the regulator itself in the documentation: 14V-3FHVSP-30A-AX-KS-LI.pdf
The new regulator will probably not fit in the same place, and it is necessary to make additional changes (fix the connection to the installation and fixing). You must not mount the regulator where it is exposed to hot air, water, stones or mud from the wheels.
The expected charging voltage should be 14.1 to 14.3VDC. If a lower battery voltage is reached, it is necessary to find the reason for the loss of voltage using the instruction. The minimum battery charging voltage that ensures a full battery is 13.9VDC. The regulator has a built-in red LED that lights up constantly, if the regulator failed to reach the set voltage on its terminals.
Warning: It is not allowed to clean the regulator with a high - pressure cleaner!
